Another random and unexpected update from my life! At least it wasn't 6 months this time.

As you can see I've been writing quite a bit lately. You want to know why? I've been happy. Genuinely, blissfully happy at least an average of 1 day of week for the past month or so. It's not this fake, shitty brand of happiness I'm so used to. That just doesn't happen at lot, and even when it does, I never feel like writing. I usually write when I feel downright low.

My grades this quarter were absolutely phenomenal. I've got to know a lot of nice people in my classes. Drama has been great. The teacher always gives me positive comments and I've got to say, I excel at poetry recitation. I can't wait until Poetry Out Loud next year, because I know I'm going to kick butt. I've gotten over that dreadful bout of general stammering nervousness in the face of crowds I got from my circus of a Spanish class last semester. I'm taking pleasure in little things like bright colors, all the faces of spring weather, and an intelligent chat. I'm trying to spread it too. I made a bunch of people cupcake just for the heck of it and now all of a sudden I'm the person who politely says "Hi" or "Good morning" in the halls as opposed the avoiding the rest of the world like they have the plague. I just feel good. I think the last time I felt this good was when I went to Disney World.

There's the bad, sure. A guy I used to talk to for at least an hour everyday hasn't spoke to me in months, but I guess that's just whatever it is. It's not bad enough to really get me down. I've dealt without him for the past few months. If I don't need him when things are dark, I sure as hell can survive the light without him. Sure it'd be nice to have a friend back, but it's nice to realize you don't NEED something.
